I heard my username ages ago and loved it. Had I had a little girl instead of a boy, this would have been her name. I have actually read a few different, yet similiar, meanings for this name.
Ambriel – Energy of God
Ambriel: This angel inspires clear communication so that we might better speak our own truth, while gently guiding human beings toward a time when truth and clarity will be the universal norm. Ambriel is also considered to be an angel of general protection. Ambriel presides over the sun sign of Gemini and the month of May. Those born under this sign pray to Ambriel for special blessings and protection.
Ambriel: Angel of Communications
Ambriel is affectionately guiding the human race
toward a consciousness of inner truth.
Traditionally Ambriel is a protective angel
Any of these meanings are fine with me though I really like the thought of it meaning Energy of God. And ofcourse, if any of you Gemini's out there would like my blessings and protection feel free to ask.

When I First Started Playing PsychoBabble, I Wanted The Shortest Name Possible. They Allowed Two Letter Names. So First Think That Came To Mind Was "No". But That Was Already Taken, So I Entered In N0 (Nzero) And KABAM! That's How I Became N0.

Okay, it should be damned obvious to everyone, no matter how stupid, why I'm called SweetestSue. Oh, wait, let me rephrase that...
What I meant to say is...back when I first started playing PsychoBabble, I played under the really difficult to figure out pseudonym of suesorensen (which happens to be identical to my real name except for the lack of capitalization and spacing). But the Witness Protection Program suggested that I change my Babble name. And there were several people playing as Sue this or that...so I decided to distinguish myself from the pack and claim the title of Sweetest of all of the Sues.
Sometimes during the holidays, I would switch over to SeasonalSue.
For Halloween, I am ScariestSue. Boo!
Back in OB times (Old Babble), we got a lot more snerts and they would often come into a room and just sit there, while regulars could not get in. So sometimes I would use the name PlayOrGetOut.
I am keeping the rest of my names secret.

Re: Alias Smith & Jones, and other names. 25 Nov 2007 |

 | | Some people pretend they have no Aliases but that's the equivalent of answering the question "Have you ever lied?" with "No". It's a guarantee you're lying.
On the other hand, I could be wrong.
---
Actually, I don’t have a lot of aliases in Pseudo. If you really want a long story as far as aliases are concerned, you’ll have to ask the all-time Pseudo Alias Champ: _nelle!
_Nelle has a trophy for that achievement to prove it. But rumors that her tally of names was 2232 are unfounded; because at that time there were only about 1600 registered names here and I think it was just a typo. I figure it was either 223 names or 232, and the extra two sneaked in there by accident.
---
Here are my better-known aliases, with short histories where it seems appropriate.
Sec. SecondBanana. SecondSanta hardly need elaboration.
UrAllBananas: Well, think about it. We ARE all “Bananas” sometimes! Some more than others, naturally. In the old Psycho the maximum number of letters one could use for a name was 12. So neither “We’reAllBananas, nor “You’reAllBananas” could be registered.
Btw, I’m NOT SecondChance. I don’t have a monopoly on Second or Banana names, and I see nothing intrusive about anyone using names that might be assumed to be mine by association. Not a bad player, btw.
snippets: That’s from the Old game, too. I used to prowl the old game when I was busy in Mikey’s Cabana and just look in, more than try to play. And I was amazed at what people spoke about – in open Chat – and have a weird kind of memory quirk … where I remember the most obscure or useless “snippets” of information and specifically conversations. Ergo the name.
silent: I announced I’d be using that even before I registered it and most of you know about it. I have a degenerative “disc” condition which results in what I loosely refer to as “pinched nerves”, and there are times when I have no sensation in my preferred right arm/hand/fingers and can’t control the mouse reliably.
So I try to play left-handed. I usually manage only about 30-rounds tops attempting to play as a leftie, but I can’t type at all and I have to remove my keyboard altogether to play without completely reversing my entire workstation setup. So once I start playing as “silent” you don’t hear a peep from me, and it’s pointless trying to explain the situation to everyone who enters during the game.
But lucky everyone: It means I finally shut up for a while. “furniture” has a good thing going, doesn’t he?
pseudonym: What an obvious name for a site called PseudoBabble. If I had wanted to be anonymous altogether, I could have hidden under that moniker forever. But, like most of us, I like to be ME – and no so to speak about it. I want to chat, Whisper and “mess around” with all my buds, rather than just play for the sake of it.
fakus_namus: I didn’t expect that name to have a long lifespan, so I won the first game I played by 25 points and kissed it goodbye from then on. LOL, sokadaka figured that was me even before I used it.
AroundTheTraps: That’s a general description of most of my aliases. That is, I use most of the lesser-known names to watch the game when I can’t really focus – visually, because of my advancing and inoperable cataracts, and in intent, because I’m merely hanging around to watch what everyone is up to while I can’t really play.
Yup, I snoop around a little and I guess the expression of hanging “around the traps” is appropriate. Lotsa people think I’m Trapezoid when I use that name, but it’s just me.
BabbleGum: I’ve always loved P.K chewing gum, and Babble Gum instead of bubble gum … guess the connection lol.
zabo: It was one of my “sleeper” names in Psycho. I used it only to sneak around and never tried to play well, so as not to attract attention. Why? Well, I can’t be the only one who notices that a few folk say the darndest personal things about themselves in Chat.
One day I blew my cover, when I noticed someone using the name “zaabo.” It was just after I had my prescription glasses updated and had one set of spectacles tailor-measured for Computer use. I just couldn’t help playing as well as I could when I could actually read the words instead of merely recognizing them. While that situation lasted, I won a million games (approximately) in succession in a week or so. That bugged everyone who was accustomed to considering that name as nothing to “worry about” (so to speak).
cabochon: The name of a famous Australian racing thoroughbred. When I used to follow the racing game, I had quite a few sizable wins on that horse. Although I use it mainly for snooping purposes these days.
But don’t tell anyone; otherwise it’ll be useless. Okay?
---
Now those are the aliases mostly everyone knows about. I have a few others, but I ain’t gunna tell anyone who doesn’t already know. Otherwise, what would be the point?
And now that I’ve told you about those dozen nicks, I’m gunna keep track of how many of you treat me like a regular player when I use them, instead of that rascal Sec character.
Otherwise, I’m gunna kick heavy Babble butt under some other name – when I can see well enough and you least expect it.
---
Now: What are your Aliases?

I know you stared this topic, Southy. But my highlighting this has nothing to do with you. I’ve never heard anything but good about you, and you know I agree.
So point your Taser and Shotgun in the other direction while I explain, will Ya?
---
Some players are annoyed, and have been annoyed even while I haven’t played, by a player (or players) who seems fixated about announcing to all and sundry that someone in the room is or might be that rascal Sec. And badgers them in whisper or chat to leave the room – for all kinds of reasons.
I can’t guess how many folk object to it or care, but it doesn’t sound very nice. I was in a room sometime ago under one of these names, when a very good player called Caribou played a wonderful game. And when they won someone congratulated them by typing: “Congrats Sec! Great game.” Caribou left the room …
I double-checked the dates: Sometime later I entered a room where Caribou was leading by a mile. They stopped playing immediately, left the room and haven’t played since. It might be for any number of reasons, but most players like to be acknowledged as themselves and not have to defend imaginary accusations and junk like that.
I’d like to clear that up as much as I can. I hope you don’t mind. But it seems easier to deal with this nonsense here rather than in the game … when good folk are just trying to have a good time.
But it has absolutely nothing to do with you.
Sec
